50 and in Torino

Fifth birthday in Torino. Hop-on-hop off bus trip to the outer reaches of Torino. Cold bleak day, that started with gifts from my girls....a watch, a wallet (to replace the one I lost, or nearly lost), bottle of wine and three plastic glasses, slightly more fancy than the plastic cups we have been using, a pink shirt to replace the McGrath Foundation QBL shirt that rips my nipples, some cream filled pastries that got Janelle into trouble when she went to buy them. You don't just take stuff out of the fridge and put on the counter.
Here we are ready to go out for John's birthday dinner. We went to L'Oca Fola....a little place just around from where we are staying. We had six courses - and it was local fare, apparently, and delicious.
Toasting the birthday boy. Amy is allowed to drink wine in Italy. She had the giggles by the end of the night...that is what 2 glasses of wine does to a 16 year old.
Yes, the hop-on-hop-off bus trip was nearly this bad. (it was wet and cold)The girls behind Amy are not having much fun either!!

Scenes from Torino. Lots of the streets are tree lined and just starting to get their leaves for Spring.
